In Spanish, it’s called the “Mercado de Mariscos”. If you're renting a house or condo or in some other way have access to a kitchen during your stay in town, this is the place to get the freshest fish. You’ll find sand bass, barracuda, rockfish, marlin shark, and others as well as octopus, lobster, and crab.
Across the path from the fish vendor stalls, you can buy cooked up treats from the same fresh fish. Shrimp cocktails, tacos, and about every possible combination of tortillas and fish that the Mexican mind can devise. Part of the fun is to fend off the callers who try to bring you in to their restaurants. These may not be the very best seafood restaurants in Ensenada (though most are quite good), but nowhere can you beat the atmosphere.
The market is located just a block from the marina
